Chiara assists the project leads with the design of the proposals and works across all phases of projects.
Chiara graduated in 2016 from The University of Edinburgh with a Distinction in Masters of Architecture. Her Masters thesis explored an urban intervention, which negotiated an area of Nicosia divided by the UN buffer zone, and the project received several awards including the Sir Nicholas Grimshaw Prize for Architectural Detail. Through a carefully composed urban proposition and resultant architectural components a convincing narrative for the future of this long neglected cityscape was generated. The project was Commended in the Architecture & Design Scotland Urban Design Awards 2016.
Chiara has broad experience from working on projects across a diverse set of sectors and formats, including residential new builds, conversion of existing fabric, commercial and retail development, and community-led feasibility studies. She has worked for a number of firms, ranging from smaller specialist practices in Scotland to a larger multi-disciplinary practice in Australia.
Chiara enjoys travel and exploring new environments, whether it is to a neighbouring city or much further afield. Following completion of her studies she spent several months travelling around the world and recorded her experience through a collection of watercolour paintings. In her spare time she enjoys contributing her creative energy to community ventures such as helping a youth group create a mural and organising a charity Art exhibition. She is a keen cyclist, skier and watersports enthusiast.
