Calum brings a wealth of experience and expertise to LBA, having refined his skills at two of Glasgow’s most renowned design-led architectural practices before joining our team in 2022. During his nearly 4-year tenure at Stallan-Brand Architecture + Design, Calum played a pivotal role in a diverse range of high-profile projects across sectors such as master planning, build-to-rent, education, and performance arts. Notable among his achievements are his contributions to the new campus for Barclays Bank and the mixed-use development at Candleriggs Square, both crucial to Glasgow’s urban regeneration efforts.
His passion for design is evident, and his conceptual abilities shines in navigating complex design challenges collaboratively. At LBA, Calum leads the weekly design reviews, ensuring the studio maintains the highest standards of design excellence. His dedication to delivering innovative solutions benefits both the team and our valued clients.
During his academic journey, Calum’s talent was recognised with nominations for prestigious accolades such as the RIBA Bronze and Silver President’s Medals. He completed his Diploma in Architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, where he was honored with the Chairman’s Medal for Architecture and nominated for the Newbery Medal.
Outside the studio, Calum enjoys playing golf, taking long walks in the countryside or cycling around his hometown.
