Kate Pittendreigh
Architectural Designer
Kate’s journey with Studio LBA began in 2023, following the completion of her Masters in Architecture at the esteemed Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, Robert Gordon University. Her exceptional academic performance earned her commendation from the Highlands and Islands Architects Association for her final thesis, which focused on the Isle of Lewis.
Currently pursuing her Part 3 qualification, Kate serves as a culture ambassador for our team, embodying our values and fostering a collaborative work environment. She has played a pivotal role in a diverse range of projects, from initial feasibility studies to final completion, contributing to planning and building warrant applications. Kate’s professional portfolio includes the restoration of listed buildings, new build homes in rural Scotland, conversion projects in Edinburgh, and more recently, residential masterplans.
Outside of the studio, Kate is an ardent enthusiast of the outdoors and fitness. Whether she’s scaling rock faces, traversing trails on her runs, or exploring the countryside on her bike, Kate finds solace and adventure in nature. Additionally, she nurtures her musical talents, enjoying the melodic strains of the cello and currently embarking on a journey to learn the piano.
