Mark oversees all projects and is responsible for assisting with and quality checking technical aspects of each project.
Mark has wide ranging experience in architecture with a strong interest in sustainability. He has experience of working in architectural practices in Scotland, England, France & the USA and has worked on residential & commercial projects, including new-build, refurbishments and restoration of listed buildings. He was lead designer for the conversion of two townhouses to 11 luxury residential apartments at 15-19 York Place, Edinburgh and 41 apartment in the conversion of the listed Guthrie School for boys. With a previous employer he was a key part of the team for the restoration of 26-31 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, to high quality office accommodation including an ETFE covered atrium which won multiple awards including the Scottish Property Awards 2014 and Scottish Design Awards 2014.
Mark is an Association for Project Safety Associate, having completed a course in the Principal Designer role. Mark ensures our designs eliminate risk as far as possible before going to site, and manages health and safety throughout the pre-construction phase.
He is very active outside of work and will generally attend meetings on his bike. He relishes resolving complex problems and finding elegant solutions.
