As part of the technical team, Tom works throughout all stages of projects, from small conversions to large developments to ensure the high level of design is realised efficiently and effectively.
Tom graduated in 2012 from Edinburgh Napier University after studying in both Edinburgh and Amsterdam. His projects at university received several prizes and he graduated top of his class. He has worked extensively with the restoration of historic projects throughout Scotland and has a keen interest in the combination of traditional and contemporary design with an emphasis on the craft of building with traditional and natural materials and techniques. He also believes in the use of natural materials, with minimal ecological footprints.
In his spare time, he helps run a community woodland space, with the aim of regenerating the natural landscape and plant life of the land while creating a space for education and enjoyment of the outdoors. As an outdoors enthusiast of a wide variety of sports Tom spends as much of his free time as he can exploring the wild places of Scotland, hiking, biking and camping as much as possible throughout the year.
Tom is currently taking a break from being our BIM whizz as he tours Europe by bike, due to return in December
