John assists with all areas of a project, from feasibility through to technical design packages, as well as producing visualisations for clients
John graduated in 2017 from the University of Dundee, where his final year thesis investigated the applicability of a design code infrastructure being used as a tool to develop remote rural and sustainable housing typologies on the remote peninsula of Knoydart. He has a passion for the conservation of agricultural buildings having grown up in the countryside of Scotland, as well as the development of individual or small-grouped rural housing typologies.
On his year out, John worked for a small firm in St Andrews, working on listed building conversions and small scale residential developments, and in Edinburgh working on retail projects throughout the UK.
Outwith architecture, John enjoys many sports; notably football, golf and going out on his bike, when the weather allows! Other hobbies include photography and graphic design.
