Mark brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to sustainability to his role in architecture. His journey has taken him across the globe, working with architectural practices in Scotland, England, France, and the USA. Throughout his career, Mark has managed diverse projects, including residential and commercial ventures, new-build developments, conversions, and meticulous restoration of listed buildings for private and commercial clients.
As Technical Director, Mark plays a pivotal role in upholding the practice’s high standards of quality control. From conceptualization to on-site construction, he ensures each project receives meticulous attention and is executed to perfection. Mark’s adept problem-solving skills and practical approach, honed through hands-on construction experience, prove invaluable in finding elegant solutions to complex challenges, benefiting both the team and clients.
Mark’s commitment to safety extends beyond architecture, as seen in his role as an Associate of the Association for Project Safety. With training in the Principal Designer role, he leads efforts to mitigate risks from the outset, prioritizing health and safety throughout each project’s lifespan.
Outside work, Mark leads an active lifestyle, often exploring the outdoors on his bike. His fitness and orientation skills make him a valuable team member in our annual entry into the Buccleuch Challenge, showcasing his dedication to personal growth and teamwork.
